About Us

Zorita Koenig Home Care was founded in November 2004 by Zorita Koenig, who was first licensed as a sole proprietor by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The agency began with a deep commitment to quality, person-centered care, as Zorita personally provided 24/7 care to a single quadriplegic veteran for eight years.

In 2012, the agency expanded its services to include private care for elderly clients. A year later, in 2013, Zorita Koenig Home Care became a subcontracted provider under the State of Florida’s Managed Long-Term Care (MLTC) program. We established partnerships with major insurance providers including Humana, Sunshine Health, and UnitedHealthcare.

Since that time, our services have been exclusively offered to members of our contracted insurance partners. In 2017, following consistent growth and a broadening scope of operations, the agency was formally incorporated.

 In 2023, Zorita Koenig Home Care was licensed as a home health agency, which allowed the addition of personal care services.
